Madison Square Garden, The World’s Most Famous Arena, is home to the New York Knicks, Rangers, professional boxing, Big East Basketball Tournament, concerts and so much more. The seating capacity is 20,789. Some of the Garden’s most memorable sports events include the 1970 Knicks NBA Championship, the Rangers 1994 Stanley Cup Championship and “The Fight of the Century” between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier in 1971. It is located in Midtown Manhattan between Seventh and Eighth avenues from 31st to 33rd Street, above Pennsylvania Station. Parking Madison Square
There is street parking on most cross streets by MSG (35th, 36th, 37th…) after 6 or 7pm. These spots can be very difficult to find when there is a big event or sports game, so if you are planning on parking on the street make sure you get there hours before the start of the event.
