The 2.5-acre park is a year-round outdoor activity oasis with gardens, performance stages, food trucks, and an ice skating rink in the winter. Recently, the park was named the No. 1 “Top Public Square” in the United States by USA Today. It has been recognized nationally for public space design, management, operations, placemaking and programming. This famous park was created in 2003 at the site of Detroit’s point of origin located at 0 miles.
