Watch the live HD aurora video of Solar Storms happening right now on the sun.

A solar cycle is a sequence that the Sun’s magnetic field goes through every 11 years, where the field flips. Throughout that process, it produces solar storms. An increase in solar activity has been linked to effects on Earth, such as auroras and impacts on communications as well as electrical grids. During a solar storm, solar radiation storms occur when a large-scale magnetic eruption, often causing a coronal mass ejection and associated solar flare, accelerates charged particles in the solar atmosphere to very high velocities. Particles such as protons get accelerated to large fractions of the speed of light. (NOAA.GOV)

Outer Space

Outer space is the vast area beyond Earth’s atmosphere. It is a place where you can find stars, planets, moons, and other celestial objects. Unlike Earth, space does not have air, which means there is no sound. The universe has millions of galaxies, and each galaxy contains billions of stars. Some stars are much larger than the Sun, while others are smaller. Space is also very cold, with temperatures dropping far below freezing.

One of the most interesting features of outer space is the presence of planets. Our own planet, Earth, is just one of eight planets orbiting around the Sun. Each planet has its own unique qualities. For example, Mars is known as the “Red Planet” because of its reddish color, while Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. Some planets have moons that orbit them, like how Earth has the Moon. Other celestial objects, like asteroids and comets, are also found in space.

Exploring outer space helps us learn more about the universe. Scientists use telescopes to observe distant stars and galaxies. They also send spacecraft to explore other planets and moons. For instance, rovers have been sent to Mars to search for signs of life. The more we learn about space, the better we understand our own planet. It also inspires people to dream about the possibilities of living on other planets one day. Outer space continues to be a source of wonder and curiosity for all of us.
