Live Cam Earth From Space

Earth/Space

Watch this live camera view of Earth from space as seen from the International Space Station. Nasa ISS circles the earth at 240 miles above the planet, on the edge of space in low earth orbit. Capture these amazing pictures of Space to Earth. Also, explore the planet by searching on the map of Google Earth. Earth is only one of the planets in the solar system.

Solar System

The order of the planets in the solar system, starting nearest the sun and working outward is the following: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and then the possible Planet Nine. Estimates project that the solar system is approximately 9 billion miles (15 billion kilometers) from the sun. The solar system extends from the sun, goes past the four inner planets, through the asteroid belt to the four gas giants and on to the disk-shaped Kuiper Belt. The average distance between the Earth and the Moon is 384 400 km (238 855 miles). The Moon’s elliptical orbit with the distances at apogee and perigee.
