Strumble is on the North West tip of Pembrokeshire. The area is known as the Pencaer Peninsula, although it isn’t actually a peninsula. Bordered on two sides by the sea and on the inland side by a line of low hills, it does give the feeling of being cut off. The focus for Pencaer is Strumble Head Lighthouse, perched on a tiny island just off the coast and reached by a small suspension bridge. The Lighthouse is automated now so there isn’t any access onto the island.
The historic and iconic structure located is on the rugged coastline of Pembrokeshire. Standing tall on a rocky promontory, it has been guiding ships and sailors since the early 1900s. The lighthouse is a sight to behold. Its white tower contrasting against the dramatic backdrop of the wild sea and cliffs. Strumble Head Lighthouse guiding light can be seen for miles. This is extremely useful for vessels navigating the challenging waters of the Irish Sea. Also, the lighthouse is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This makes it both effective and reliable when safeguarding maritime traffic.
