The arena opened in 1992. It has been nominated by Pollstar Magazine six times for the “Arena of the Year.” In excess of two million guests come to Footprint Center annually. It has hosted numerous concerts, sporting events, and other entertainment shows since its opening in 1992.
It was originally named America West Arena. Then became US Airways Center, and finally rebranded as Footprint Center in 2021. The arena is a popular destination for sports fans and concert-goers alike. It offers state-of-the-art facilities and a prime location in the heart of downtown Phoenix. It has also been the site of major events such as the NBA All-Star Game and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
